Partisan Cross Demo (I NEED HELP!)

Postby Halca » Thu May 12, 2011 3:01 am

Well, because most of the people that I needed to test this game have bumped into complications that I cannot determine the origin of, I've come to my beloved Novelty community for help!

Title Screen

After a surviving a shipwreck, you find yourself waking up on a strange island that is home to the luxurious Partisan Cross Academy.
With no way of leaving the island, your only choice is to enroll.
You're welcomed with open arms, but something is slightly off.
Everyone seems to be hiding some kind of secret, and as strange events continue to happen, you question what Partisan Cross really is.

Who will you meet?

What will you experience?

What is the secret of Partisan Cross Academy?

Stat building, inventory and relationship systems.

You can download the demo here:

The demo has three routes and two endings, each of which can be completed in about 15 minutes.

I'm planning on distributing this demo on May 27-29 at The Florida Anime Experience, but I need some testing done.

So that's where you, my loves, come in to save the day~

If you would be so kind, could you test out all the routes and menus and then fill out the included questionnaire in the installer?

Thank you guys in advance <3

PLEASE CRITIQUE ME TO DEATH, I NEED ANY HELP I CAN GET!

Feedback:
I played all routes and reached both endings.
What kind of computer are you using? Please specify whether or not it

is a laptop:
Desktop, running Windows XP, SP3.

Did you encounter any bugs during gameplay? Describe any bugs that

happened in as much detail as possible:

Were there any grammatical or spelling errors? Write down any of these

mistakes here:
In the scene with Jack and Loyd (after choosing to sleep with Jack),

the player says "...it make more sense..."
It should read "...it makes more sense..." In the same text box,

inconvenience is spelled incorrectly.

Shortly after that scene, when Loyd talks about the inflatable

mattress, both mattress and accasion are spelled incorrectly.

When Jack and the player go to eat, and Jack comments on the

cafeteria's food, "alot" should be two words.

Where Keki says, "I can't neither", that is a double negative (you

might have intended Keki to speak this way).

After Mark takes the player back to Jack's room, the player says,

"Which leaves the question of what I should at this late hour." You

need to add the word "do" after should.

WHen the player goes to look for Jack, I says "I feel like I'm going to

wrong way..." It should read "...the wrong way..."

WHen the player is fleeing the two monsters, the text box reads "the

two monsters wrestle eachother" eachother shhould be separated into the

two words.

When I met Marche, the text box read "She thrusts an armful of bottles

filled with a of spectrum ..." delete the word of.

When Marche tells the player "Fairwell" it should be "Farewell."

In the photography club meeting, disecting should be spelled

dissecting.

In the photography club meeting, inappropriate is spelled incorrectly.

IN the photography club meeting text box says "Before I knew it, it

hours had passed." It would be better if it read "Before I knew it,

several hours had passed."

----------------------

Complete the game once and then play it again without closing the

client. Did everything properly reset?: Yes, everything reset.

How long did it take you to complete a route?: 30 minutes, but I

stopped to write down the typos.

Were you able to understand and use the menu? Did you see

status/relationship/inventory changes as you progressed through the

game?:
I was able to understand the menu. Inventory/status/realtionship all

changed.

NOW IT'S TIME FOR SOME FUN QUESTIONS!!!

Which was your favorite character?: Marche.

Do you think there's enough variety in the guys you can "go after"?:
I don't play guy on guy games, so I doesn't amtter to me

What kind of guy would you like to see in this game if I were to add

more?:
See above statement.

Anything else you'd like to say?:

The black area for the speaker's name is too small (hard to see top

part of letters).

"Loyd" is usually spelled "LLoyd"

When the player leaves the classroom at night you said a thick for

envelopes the room. You're in a hallway. How can it be foggy in a

hallway?

After Mark takes the player back to Jack's room, the windows are bright

, even though it's night-time.

WHen I selected to sleep with Loyd, when I went to the restaurant in

town with Jack, Jack's name box said ??? instead of Jack. This bug did

not happen on a replay.

On the second play-thru I didn't encounter Mark, but when I selected to

stay in the room, there was a text box saying "I don't care what Mark

said"

I thought the music was good.
Why? I like big ones, that's why.

@avaible,
Yes, I was in a hurry, and used Notepad to edit the feedback. :oops:
I just went back thru the feedback using MS Word with spelling and grammar checker.

Here is the revised feedback document, with my spelling errors corrected. The spelling errors made by Halca are left as written.
Very respectfully,
fleet

All good now.

@halca
You may also want to post this demo in the lemma soft forum for testing, they have a lot of Yaoi-fans in their community.

@fleet

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for! And yes, Keki does speak like an idiot :)
Additionally, the fog in the school is supposed to be unnatural, but I should probably write it differently as that doesn't seem clear.
Alot of the weird night/day things with the background came just because I don't have the right backgrounds at the moment, they're placeholders for now >w<;;

Oh yeah, I kinda forgot that only a niche audience enjoys BxB, sorry for putting you though that, I should have made it more clear. >_>;;

@Avaible

Thanks for helping test the game, and yeah, I should probably put it on lemmasoft XD

I'm glad my feedback was helpful to you. I thought the game would be 'BxB' when I read the 'read this first' text file. I hope you get helpful feedback.
