Thanks for clarifying those things. I should have looked a bit more closely/read more docs, but oh well.

With regards to the size to screen function, I had just arbitrarily tried it on a sprite as more or less a test to see how it would handle the scaling,
I wasn't thinking about it in the context of backgrounds where the behavior makes sense. Also, about resizing, resizing by the corners behaves in
the same manner as scaling (centered on the pivot).

Last thing, I was going to suggest the use of percentages/floats as values for certain properties but I went and checked the documentation and found
you already can. Turns out it just doesn't work using the property inspector (trailing characters are ignored), it has to be applied to the NML. Worth noting?

I'm already aware of some of these issues but the rest will be added to my to do list. Thanks.
Note that the interface is built using an open-source library called wxWidgets and it has its own set of bugs.

If a relative size has been set then it should automatically update when the size of the parent changes, however the script bypasses that functionality. That's a bug.

The author mode is practically finished now. it's a nice addition for many writers I'm sure.

Here's yet another feature that's coming in the next version of Novelty: Templates.

Novelty already have <Template> assets which are in NoveltyML for adding prefabricated objects and layers to a scene.
These new templates are for projects, meaning you can go File->New->From template rather than start from scratch.
This will practically remove any setup for new users or people who just want to get started fast. I will also try to find time to create a few amazing-looking styles for you to use.

You are of course, in true Novelty fashion, able to create your own templates and share them with other users.
All you have to do create your project as usual and then go File->Export->Novelty Template Project and you will be asked to fill in some details and that's it.

Here's yet another minor but very useful feature.
I'm not sure how many of you have found this feature; you can right-click in a scene to create objects that doesn't require any other resources or files.
I've added an "Image from file" option to that menu, for those times when you just want to get an image into Novelty quick and dirty.

Simply right-click anywhere in a scene, select Create->Image from file, pick any image off your hard drive and boom!

Ummm... just a thing i thought about (no im NOT dead... just lurking =P)
how about making tree like scene window... to see where the branches are it could help with the game planing =)
you could share that autor mode... it would help me abit =P
