Okay, so I figured out how to create an actor from a texture in ML, but I have no idea how to create a change of state. (emotions, poses). Why do the emotions have to be in the same image as the poses (I looked at the examples and the emotions were on the same image as the poses)? I don't get it. How does the ML decide where to find the state changes, do I tell it where they are? I'm so confused.

I'm guessing you're confused about how the image file was cropped and positioned in the tutorial. Take a look at the tutorial again, there's a manipulate-button you can click on.

And the emotions do not have to be the same image source file, you can add further Image-objects as Child-objects to a state. And an actor can have as many states as you need them to have.

Thank you.

I was able to figure it out, finally. :P It makes more sense now why the states are on the same image as the default pose...that way all you have to do is duplicate and use the manipulate button to crop. It's also more organized I guess. I was able to create an actor with different states, yay.
